Network for Salford Brook

RAE Computing have installed a network for Salford Brook Advisory Service in Manchester.
The network has been built by installing a centallised SME server, client PC have been built using shuttle X cases and flat screen TFTs to maximize the amount of space avaliable for working.
SME server is an open source project, which means it is a very cost effective solution, but provides all the benefits of using a server based architecture:
- Centralised backup to a tape drive that is easy to manage
- Remote desktops, allowing employees to work at any PCs in the office
- Centralised and fast file sharing
- Support for over 100 PCs, the system allows new members of staff to be easily added without the hassle of purchasing additional licences.
